KJ Wong on Drums

Known by many as the Hardest Swinging Cat in all of KL, started drumming at the age of 10. He later sharpened his skills with a stint at the prestigious Musicians Institute in Los Angeles California.

KJ has performed with all the top jazz acts in the country, most notably the Julian Chan Jazz Orchestra, The Frankie Sixes, and the WVC Malaysian Jazz Ensemble.

KJ has performed in notable jazz and music festivals all over the country and region including the Haeundae Jazz Festival, Singapore International Festival of Arts, Penang Island Jazz Festival, and many others.

AJ Popshuvit on Bass

AJ is a founding member and bassist in WVC Jazz, one of South-East Asia's leading contemporary jazz bands, with whom he has toured extensively in the region. With WVC, he has played on seven original albums, won 3 awards at the prestigious BOH Cameronian Arts Awards in 2016 and a further 2 awards in 2020. He also appeared briefly with the band in the film; Crazy Rich Asians.

Julian Chan on Saxophone

A performer extraordinaire, educator and sessionist, Julian has performed the world over with both Malaysian and international artists like Michael Veerapen, Jeremy Monteiro, Carmen Bradford, Isao Miyoshi, James Morrison and more. 

Julian, a Yanagisawa saxophonist, born and raised in Malaysia is a graduate of Queens College in New York.
